Greenville Memorial Hospital of Greenville Health System is one of only four Level 1 Trauma Centers in South Carolina. A level 1 category is the highest level of care provided by trauma services as designated by South Carolina DHEC. A level 1 designation means there is a multidisciplinary team of highly trained specialists in the Trauma Center 24/7 waiting for you to arrive in need of medical attention.
Each year, over 1500 trauma patients are seen by the surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, radiology and lab technicians, and residents that make up the GHS Trauma Team.
